Miss America Shakers

The Miss America salt and pepper shakers were made in the colors pink and crystal.  They have been reproduced a variety of times and it is difficult to distinguish the reproductions from the originals.  Original shakers have about two and one-half inches of depth inside; whereas, most reproduction shakers have an inside depth about two inches.  Look carefully at the hobs.  An original shaker will remain pointed, but on a reproduction shaker, the hobs will be more rounded near the stem and at the seams.
